August 2007: ORI and the Center for the Advancement of Distance Education (CADE) at University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) to collaborate

ORI partners, Kevin Becker and Jeff Weir met with senior staff of the Center for the Advancement of Distance Education (CADE) at UIC to discuss future collaboration on several projects including trauma training and future projects involving the virtual world – Second Life.

ORI has proven capabilities and knowledge in the field of psychological stress and trauma prevention and response. CADE has experience designing distance education materials as well as extensive experience developing products using the Second Life platform.

This collaboration was seen as an evolving project with both private sector and public health applications and will benefit countless individuals and organizations all across the globe.
